Democracies as we think of them have one main element that is absolute, is that all are created equal, in how all have the same opportunities to seek their path in life without subjugation or the preferential treatment of a majority or group over another. To have the same freedoms and rights of your other compatriots. These are the principles in how democracies are judged. If these fundamentals are not honoured, then one may not call them democracies.
